5 Reasons for Safety

At Kendall we believe every worker deserves to be in a safe environment when they’re on their job. Not only is it our duty to provide the right conditions for our team members, but we also feel it is our moral responsibility.

Here are 5 reasons we believe safety should be the top priority for every team member:

Increased Productivity

When you don’t have a safe work environment, employees are likely to worry about their personal safety. Workers don’t want to feel like they have a chance to get hurt on the job. Safe work environments significantly increase productivity by simply improving workplace safety. We want our employees to know that we’ve got their backs.

Lower Risk of Workplace Injuries

Workplace injuries happen more often than they should. In many cases, they could’ve been prevented had there been proper safety protocols in place. Depending on the severity of the injury, it can have a disastrous effect on a worker’s life. To ensure that none of this ever happens to you, it’s imperative that you identify workplace hazards. We also encourage our employees to speak up whenever they notice a workplace safety hazard. When our team members freely discuss problems, there’s a slim chance there’ll be any hazards you won’t know about.

Reduced Absenteeism

Operations won’t run smoothly if an employee isn’t on the job because they are recovering from an injury. Regardless of whether the injury is minor or major, the person who suffers it will surely take some time off. This will have a negative effect on workplace productivity, especially if you can’t find a replacement.  Healthy employees are productive employees.

Improved Reputation

When people are not satisfied with a particular work environment, they search for positions at other companies. If workers don’t feel safe under their leadership, they’ll surely leave a company the first chance they get. We feel we have put quality safety protocols and guidelines in place to ensure we give our employees the best chance to learn how to work safely and avoid injury.  As a result, this will improve our reputation and encourage employees to stay loyal to Kendall.

You Will Save Money

There are too many financial setbacks we’ll experience if one of our employees gets injured on the job. Worker’s compensation claims are just one thing that might hurt our budget. Reducing claims/injuries saves money and provides us with the opportunity to give more money to our team members in the field by way of raises, bonuses, improved benefits, newer equipment, etc.

Kendall is committed to the safety and well-being of our employees and will continue to strive to provide the safest workplace possible for them.   Keeping workers safe will improve employee morale and when employees are happy with their job, the more productive they will be.  That’s the Kendall Way!

As we enter the Spring season, we all need to be mindful of the hazards associated with biting insects. In an effort to draw awareness to these insects we are implementing a BEE Aware campaign to help us identify those who are more susceptible to having an adverse reaction if bit/stung.
