Lawrenceville, GA — For Release — Kendall Vegetation Services has invested in the latest in remote-controlled slope mowers, helping reduce costs and reduce safety incidents for Southeast utilities.

“Steep terrain has always been expensive and dangerous work for vegetation management workers”, explains Kendall Fleet Manager, Nick Oney. “Prior to investing in the Green Climber, we had to shut down our bucket trucks and have a full crew of eight people hand cutting banks. The Green Climber has completely changed our day to day right-of-way operations. It can cut up to 8” debris and we now use three people and the Green Climber to do the same job”.

Since 2014, Green Climber NA has provided the safest, most innovative remote slope mowers to utilities, vegetation management contractors, etc. Having a remote-controlled machine allows users to clearly see all surroundings during mowing, eliminates an operator from being trapped inside during a fire, and eliminates the need for employees to be operating chainsaws on steep banks.

“At Kendall, we strive to understand our client’s greatest vegetation management challenges and concerns. We work with them to evaluate new methods, technology, and equipment that will help them maintain safe, reliable power for their customers”, states Robert Williams, President of Kendall Vegetation Services. “The Green Climber is an example of this collaborative approach and we look forward to demonstrating the benefits at our other clients”.
